The Best Activities
There are so many great activity choices here suitable
for team adventure weekends or active trips, adventure training retreats or
short multi-activity breaks. A quick selection of our particular favourites is
below – but see attached the PDF document for the full range, some pictures and
a description of each activity available to you and your team. You will also
find full details, a few videos and lots of pictures on our Alpine Thrills
website which is dedicated to the fun array of team
building multi-activities on offer.
Professional, Guided Adventure Activities
All of our team adventure activities are led or guided by professionals who have extensive experience - safety is a high priority for us. We work with the local mountain guides to ensure your group gets the most from the activities you choose - in terms of fun and confidence as well as from a safety point of view.
Some of our favourite activities are below:
Team Building Activities and Games
As a starter we can offer team build games, adventure challenges, treasure hunts and icebreakers to encourage your team members to gel together and enjoy different experiences. These are often based in local locations to take advantage of the splendour of the setting. It's so memorable to look out over mountain peaks, often snow capped, whilst joining your colleagues in working together to solve problem games.
We often incorporate a ropes course to up the adventure
levels on the afternoon of the first day, following on from the group interaction of the
team build activities in the morning. The high ropes course can be a real
challenge, particularly for those who don’t like heights, but the nice thing is
that it is accessible and available to everyone. With a bit of mind-over-matter everyone can
complete the course, particularly as the all team members encourage each
other.
Water-Based Activities
The water-based activities are held on the crystal clear Lake Annecy; a stunning backdrop for a kayaking session. Under the watchful eye of the safety boats you can head to a hidden cliff jumping site for some thrills – and paddle back taking in the views!
For larger groups who like a water-based challenge, dragon boating is an excellent team activity. It’s not just brute force but the coordination and timing to get your boat gliding. This is a fun team building activity in itself, but made better as the others, who will be watching from the beach base, can encourage the teams, making for full group participation.
Mountain-Based Activities
If you have a head for heights and would rather enjoy some mountain based activities or a unique challenge, why not try one of the climbing, via feratta or rando-vertige activities which get you up on the rocks? You don’t need any experience to do this although you do need to be up for a challenge to enjoy this unique experience which fills you with a real sense of achievement when you’ve finished.
And of course don’t forget that during the winter we offer Ski Weekends, Ski Midweeks and a full range of corporate ski trips. Details can be found on the corporate page of our dedicated short break Ski Weekender website.
