Driver/Ski Host
We have an opening for the position of driver/ski host for the Winter 2007/08 Ski Season working with
guests based at either our Aravis Lodge, sleeping 35, or our Pre-Fleuri chalet,
sleeping 12-14. Both chalets are located in the small village of St
Jean de Sixt, near the ski resorts of Grand Bornand and La Clusaz.
With over 220km of pistes the resorts are popular with our returning
British guests, but are still predominantly French, meaning you won’t
be based in a ‘mini-Britain’ as you are in some of the bigger
resorts.
All our staff need to be efficient, flexible and conscientious in their
approach to work. To get the most out of a ski season you'll need to
be prepared to work hard, be energetic and love working with people.
The ski season is a fantastic way to spend the winter and although the
hours can be demanding and long, your rewards include plenty of time
on the mountain side, meeting lots of new people and our great benefits
package.

comfortable, mostly ensuite and individual accommodation

You must be prepared to work as part of a team as many of your duties
will involve assisting other members of our staff and running occasional
local errands around the resort. As a driver you will meet many of our guests
and will be responsible in ensuring they get transferred to and from
the airport and the slopes promptly, therefore a flexible and reliable
approach is essential.
A full and clean driving license is required. Previous experience of
driving a minibus is necessary and experience of driving in winter conditions
would be useful. Due to insurance cover drivers must have held a driving
license for 3 years, and would ideally be over the age of 25, depending
on experience.
We would require you to ski with our guests up to 3 days a week when
not doing airport transfers.

hours can be demanding and long, your reward is plenty of time on the
mountain side. You can generally expect to ski host during the most
part of the day on your hosting days, followed by the evening off, after
returning your guests back to their chalets. We have 3 transfer days
a week when you can generally expect to drive from mid-afternoon often
through to late evening – you will do on average 2 transfers in
a day – Geneva airport is one hour away.
A full day off is taken mid week. You will receive 110€ a week. Your
