This August Bank Holiday we’ll be enjoying the balmy summer days in the French mountains, walking thorough beautiful pastureland, enjoying stunning alpine views and tackling some rugged downhill mountain biking tracks. We may even pop down to the medieval town of Annecy, walk by the lake and do a spot of shopping in the old town. Come evening we’ll return to the Aravis Lodge and enjoy drinks on the terrace as the sun sets over the Aravis mountain range before tucking into a sumptuous dinner with wine, all in good company.

We’re offering 5 nights for the price of 4 in our fully-catered, ensuite Aravis Lodge! Consequently, as well as being able to benefit from cheaper bank holiday flights you will also have an EXTRA day to enjoy the mountains and the sunshine totally free of charge!

Fly out Thursday night after work. We’ll meet you at Geneva airport and bring you back to the Aravis Lodge - just an hour away – in time for dinner. After dinner you can hire a bike, should you require it, from our in-house bike room, well stocked with the latest bikes. You will then be ready to enjoy 5 days exploring the mountains either on foot or by bike.

Our experienced Karibuni support team will be on hand over the weekend to guide you round the best walking trails and bike tracks, show you the most spectacular views and advise the nicest restaurants in which to have lunch. With many of the ski lifts open you can gain altitude very quickly allowing you to enjoy the descent, either a leisurely one on foot or a more thrilling one by bike! Should you wish to spend a day or two exploring by yourselves, the support team have a large knowledge of the area and have detailed maps and walking/biking guides available.

The nearby villages of La Clusaz and Grand Bornand also offer plenty of activities, should you fancy a day spent locally, including mini-golf, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pools and plenty of shops, café bars and restaurants. Alternatively Annecy and the lake is only a 30-minute bus ride away, with buses running regularly from outside the lodge.

As your break draws to a close on Tuesday evening, we’ll drop you at Geneva airport ready for your trip home, thereby avoiding the expensive Friday/Monday holiday flights.
