La Clusaz
La Clusaz is the largest village in the Aravis mountain
range – part of the Lake Annecy ski region - comprising over 220km of
piste. One of 5 villages within the resort,
the traditional town has the largest number of bars, restaurants and shops as
well as a swimming pool, ice rink and various other attractions.
There are several ski lifts departing immediately from the village centre, making it a nice central hub for your ski holiday. The pretty town has a magnificent setting nestled at the foot of the Aravis Mountains which rise majestically in a line towards the highest peak – Pointe Percee - at 2700metres. The resort faces predominantly North/North-West meaning it holds the snow well throughout the season. It also seems to benefit from being in a direct line with Mont Blanc, meaning it gets a lot of snow that other resorts miss out on.
The Skiing in La Clusaz
The village itself is at a height of 1100 metres and the
layout of the pistes ensure you are able to ski down into the heart of the
village even at the end of season. La Clusaz offers 130km of piste – enough for
a weekend – although for most of our packages we provide you with the Aravis
lift pass - allowing you to ski in nearby Grand Bornand as well – so you can
take advantage of all 220km of piste during your stay with us.
With a large range of green, red and blue runs as well as a few challenging blacks and plenty of off-piste in the Balme sector, there really is plenty of skiing for everyone here – from beginners through to extreme skiers.
Situated just one hour from Geneva La Clusaz is a gem unheard of by most Brits, meaning that you won’t be skiing in a ‘Little Britain’.
