Learn to Ski
We appreciate that if you're a first time skier everything can be a little
bit scary and new - we all remember our first day on the piste! Consequently
we will be there to make it simple and easy for you from the moment we meet
you at the airport. Your lift pass will be waiting on arrival, we'll fit
your skis and boots and take you to meet your instructor at the right time
and in the right place.
As the instructor works with us exclusively we can introduce you personally and make sure you get off to a good start. There may be up to 5 other beginners with you in your group but our maximum group size is six, and there will often be less learning to ski, ensuring that you will always have plenty of time with your instructor to get the most from your lesson. And you may also make new friends whilst you're there!
We will pick you up from the slopes at the end of the day and bring you back for afternoon tea where we'll discuss the day with you and see how you fared. Then relax as we serve you a 3 course dinner with wine after which you can retire to bed, maybe via the bar! We think you'll enjoy your week or short break skiing with us so much you'll be back for more!
In order to learn to ski you need a few certain items, although if you forget them - don't worry - we have lots of spares in the chalet.
Important things to bring:
- Waterproof ski jacket
- Warm ski socks
- Ski gloves or mittens
- Salopettes or ski trousers
- Thermal underclothes or thin, warm layers
- Fleece to wear under ski jacket
- Goggles and Sunglasses
- Sun cream and lip protection
- Small rucksack to carry your things with you on the slopes

We have compiled a special ski fitness page, which has some suggestions for simple steps which you can take now to prepare yourself for the coming ski season. You can find our Ski Fitness Guide here.
