The Cartier International Polo - 22nd July 2012
The Cartier International Polo is one of the most glamourous days out of the British social season. A very relaxed event, the Cartier International allows you to rub shoulders with the rich and famous; from actors, pop stars and models to TV presenters, film stars and the Royal family! Everyone walks around the Guards' Polo Club grounds on the same level so you may well find yourself standing next to a recognisable celebrity. We've spotted Kate Moss, Prince Harry and Will Young over the years!
Cartier International Polo Day Trips
We can now only run the Cartier Polo day trip for large groups - although this is ideal for a stag or hen party, a big birthday celebration or a corporate team or client reward trip. We work with groups of 35 or more, based on filling a whole coach.
Price is dependent on the size of your group but should be under £100pp for our standard package for groups of 40+ with a departure point in or around London as a guideline.
Cartier Polo Packages
Our Polo package includes the following as standard:
- coach transfer to/from Windsor Guards' Polo Club from a destination of your choice
- entry into the Guards' Polo Club grounds
- nibbles and bubbly on arrival
- delicious buffet lunch with plenty of red and white wine and soft drinks
- strawberries and cream
- afternoon scones with cream and jam
Bespoke Cartier Polo Packages
As we work with your group exclusively we can tailor-make some elements of the day trip for you if required. For instance we believe that you don't need entry into the grandstand seats to enjoy your day as you can easily get to the ground boundary to sit or stand to watch the match. However if you want grandstand seats we can buy those for you.
The polo itself kicks off in the morning with the Hurlingham Club playing the Prince of Wales Team (which has had Prince Harry and Prince William playing in the past). The afternoon match is the international with the English team playing another strong polo-playing country such as Argentina, New Zealand or Buenos Aires. The standard of polo is fantastic and the polo ponies a joy to watch. The Queen or another representative of the Royal Family awards the prizes at the end of the day.
Cartier International Polo Atmosphere
There is plenty to keep your group occupied during a day out to the Cartier International Polo even if you are not the biggest polo fan. The atmosphere is fantastic - party-like almost - with groups standing around sipping pimms and champagne, celeb spotting and enjoying picnics in the sun. There is also a large retail park in marquees with some big name clothing shops, where you can buy everything from magnums of champagne and art canvases to polo attire, Lexus cars and the best in patio furniture, as well as everything in between!
